I have two different options for your photoshoot an “At Home” Shoot or an “Into the Wild” shoot
Here is what you can expect:
At Home Photography
The reason why I love an “At Home” photo shoot is you get to capture the moments that you want to hang on to forever. Playing with the kids, jumping on the bed, snuggling on the sofa to the seemingly mundane moments that you wish with all your heart you could get back.
Having your family shoot at home is a great way to get really relaxed and natural photographs. I find most children relax more in their own environment, with their own toys and a more familiar routine. These shoots can be as intimate or as crazy as you wish.
For Newborn photo shoots I use baby-led poses, which means I do not put them in positions that are unnatural. Because of this I am able to shoot newborn sessions up to a slightly later age than 2 weeks old.
Having the newborn shoot at your own home makes most parents feel more at ease and less stressed, you have everything you need.
I do encourage parents to get in these photos, I don’t care what you look like or what your house looks like because that’s not what is important, it’s all about the connection you have as a family that make these photos so amazing. If you are interested we can go through some styling ideas.
These session last for 2.5 hour, we play, we have fun, we jump on the bed and by the end of the session you will all need a nap
Into The Wild Photography
Getting outside with the family is a perfect way to get some real intimate family photos. Having an outside shoot gives children more freedom to run, play, jump off logs, and have a snuggle with parents in the grass. I love these shoots as they really show the closeness of your family in the big wide open space. It’s also a great way to bring nature into the home when you get them printed.
When you book with me we can have a chat about styling and colours that work with this kind of shoot, you will be on the grass and running about so you want to make sure you feel comfortable .
The best time for outside photos is an hour before the sun sets as you will get the beautiful glow from the sun going down, this is known as the “golden hour”. If your kids are anything like mine they will love doing these photos. We play, dance and get in close for cuddles
