When I first met Suvi and Tim, it was like we’d been friends for a lifetime, even though our paths had just crossed. The instant connection was undeniable, and it set the stage for what would become one of my favourite weddings to photograph.
Their wedding day started in the picturesque Newbarn Farm, nestled in Seers Green, Buckinghamshire. The farmhouse, stands at the very heart of a sprawling 16-acre organic wonderland. This hidden gem boasts not only a charming vineyard but also an apple orchard, vibrant gardens, busy beehives, and some friendly cats. It was the perfect setting for a laid-back and tranquil morning, setting the stage for what was to come. And just as the day unfolded, we would return to this idyllic spot later for some truly captivating photos.
It was here that Suvi and her bridesmaids kicked off their wedding day prep. With the talented Rosie Scott the hair and makeup transformation was nothing short of magical. Rosie’s skill in making her brides look as natural as possible blew me away .
After the beautiful ceremony, at the local church, the guests made their way to the heart of the day’s festivities – the Jolly Cricketers pub. If you’re picturing a quintessential English village pub straight out of a postcard, you’re spot on. With its cozy atmosphere and rustic charm, it was the perfect setting for this unconventional celebration.
Suvi and Tim were a couple who had a unique vision for their big day – one that discarded the rulebook and embraced the freedom to do things their way. They were the embodiment of the phrase “throw out all the traditions and do what the hell we want.” And let me tell you, it was nothing short of amazing.
No cake, no first dance, no cookie-cutter rituals. Just Suvi, Tim, their wonderful friends, and loving family gathered in the cosy embrace of their local pub. The ambiance was warm. The air carried the mouth-watering scent of a BBQ. Excitement hung in the air as everyone looked forward to the pub quiz. And, of course, there was a fantastic playlist setting the mood.
What struck me most about their celebration was how, by cutting back on traditions, they didn’t take anything away from the beauty of the day. In fact, it added a layer of authenticity and genuine joy that was palpable.
Through this, their eyes rarely left each other, everyone around them could feel the connection in the air. There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that they were meant to be together.
As I wrapped up my time with Suvi and Tim, I couldn’t help but reflect on the incredible journey we had shared. They weren’t just clients; they had become friends. I knew that our paths would continue to cross in the years to come.
And who knows? Maybe one day, I’ll find myself knocking on the door of their new house by the sea, ready to capture the next chapter of their beautiful love story. Until then, I’ll cherish the memories of their unconventional, unforgettable wedding day and the genuine connection that I witnessed
Suvi and Tim, your love is a reminder that weddings are not just about following traditions but about creating moments that resonate with your souls. Thank you for letting me be a part of your extraordinary journey. 📷❤️🎉
